I wrote this for my best friend letting her know I will always love her.

Through Everything

When you wish upon a star,
Do you think it will come true?
When you are hurt and lonely,
Do you believe you can make it through?

When trials come and we grow apart,
Do you know you’ll always be in my heart?
Or when you cry here beside me and I don’t know what to say,
Do you remember that I love you, every single day?

The routine of our lives has become an old record
Replaying itself over and over
The fights with our mothers, the nights we hate our fathers,
The pain that we both feel hasn’t gone away

I remember when we met, the day we said hello
We didn’t get along, how little did we know
That one day I’d need you, right by my side
That there would be a day that you’d lie on my lap and cry

We’ve learned to work past our differences
To see the real beauty inside
I’ve learned how to love you
Despite those angry times
