PROMISE ME


Promise me
You'll let me go
When the time comes.

Don't hold me to this earth
To be bound by the pain
Making my loved ones grieve.

Promise me you'll let me go
Don't have me hang on
To linger in pain.

Know that my love for you
Trancends all time
No matter where I am.

Though I can't touch you
Nor you me
I am there beside you.

If you need my closeness
All you need do is reach out,
My hand will be in yours.

So...Promise me
You'll let me go
When the time comes.
