You touched the part
Of my heart no one knew
Existed.

You were my friend
My confidant
The best of MY life.

When someone needed
A shoulder to cry on
Or a hand to hold,
You were there.

When help was called for
And brawn was needed,
You were there.

You were friend to many
Loved by many
And will be missed by all.

You once gave me eagle feathers
To protect me
You said.

Now I give back to you
The feather
To protect you on
Your journey.

You are an eagle now
Fly above the pain
And sorrow.

Take your wings
And soar to the place
Where the pain will be gone.

But take the time to look down
And see
Us.

We will miss you
As much as we loved you
You have been a part
Of us.
