Equal

A poem I wrote.

Two families of four
one husband in each
one wife in each
and two kids in each
both the same yet very different

the wife and the dad from the different families meet and run away
two kids and one husband and one wife meet and become friends
the run-away wife’s family has one brown haired daughter and one diabetic son
the run away husband’s family has a blond haired girl and a smart boy

the run-aways separate and so does the friends
the blond haired girl misses her friends and hopes that the similar family meets
so she writes a short story, and wonders
Do they miss Us?
