Being Me

I wrote this on the spur of the moment kinda thing, enjoy. Please review...thanx

I can't be who you want me to be
Even though you have tried your hardest
I know you'll never be able to chage

I see that you are ashamed of who I am
You can't even look me in the eye anymore
No words come out when you speak to me

You ask me when did I change
I don't know what to say
I just stare into the pools of despair

I never changed you just never saw me
Looking at your face you are hurt
You say you were looking at me

You didn't look close enough to see the real me
I tried to be who you wanted me to be
I never want to do that again for you or anybody else

So now I am going to be me
No matter what you say to me I will never change
I can only be me after all
