At first I felt defeat, but that look changed it all...

That Look

I saw you today,
My heart skipped a beat,
But you were talking to her,
Then my heart felt defeat.

I know you’re just friends,
Nothing more, nothing less,
She made me a bit jealous,
And to that I’ll confess.

But then I looked to you,
And told you goodbye,
I just cannot forget,
That look in your eye.

You smiled at me,
While waving your hand
And the feeling I felt,
Was hard to withstand.

You have no idea,
Of how I had felt,
That the look you gave me,
Made my heart melt.
