In America, the government has a responsibility towards its citizens to protect Civil Rights. The following are protected Civil Rights in the USA: 1. The right to vote - protection against discrimination in the vote such as a poll tax and gerrymandering. 2. Equal employment. - freedom from discrimination in hiring and promotion as protected by Title VII 3. Public Accommodations - the right to fair treatment in hotels, businesses, restaurants 4. Education - freedom from discrimination in receiving an education 5.
