tears that glisten on the lashes
and sparkle in the light
with rainbows delight
the embers that burned bright
dimmer and flicker
as the moons light fades
and the cold water
that feels like deaths breathe
waver in echoing need
as the fish swim by
no longer feel the heat
as the sun faded
and darkness arise
the brightness that leaves the eyes
from hurt and betrayed
have the pools of past glistening near
as the seasons come and go
with the lies and lines
people try to feed me
as they think i'm gonna believe every word they say
i no longer feel i no longer care
my hearts made of stone
and my walls are in place
crack the walls
break them down
come near if u can
get rid of the hurt
and shed no tears let no one in keep everyone at arms length
and never be hurt and words never be said
come and go and let me know my hearts no longer open
feel no pain see no gain and no emotions to feel the aches
