On Veterans Day: A Tribute to Our Heroes

A tribute to our brave veterans - a poem.

On this Veterans Day,
Countless Americans honor and celebrate
The service men and women
Whose tremendous sacrifice
And courage have conveyed
The ultimate strength, commitment,
And valor to our nation’s safety,
Prosperity, pride, and dignified scope.

Recruitment has focused on the poise
Of constricting diplomacy and implosive gravity.
Methods of involvement are thoroughly
Being questioned for humankind’s
Righteous impunity and regard for denigrated
And hopelessly at risk populations
And religious communities of legitimate worship.
The earthly signals of an advantageous
And possible end to war are coming to light;
And the survivors of the most grossly cruel battles
Of a mental and physical shape and tone
Are relying on resiliency, reciprocity, togetherness,
And acceptance…

All our brave and needy veterans
Must continue to further
The accountability
Of our foremost citizenry.
Scarred vets of past, present, and current
Scenarios of embattled and soon-to-be
Enlightened prosperity, caring, and vision
Shall seek a new nexus
And a glowing, subjective aura.
A meritorious model of authority
Less taxing and humbling;
And much more gratifying and triumphant
For our awesome service men and women’s
Kind and deserving souls…

Against the backdrop of freedom’s highest peaks -
The status of enduring national pride.
Recapturing the dawn of America’s
Supreme and natural horizon.
