Two hearts beating.
Two of us as one.

Playground days and
Childish ways, when
Holding hands,
Proved our love
(puppy, puppy love)

Those simple days an
Ease that stays, with
Two hearts beating,
Both of us as one.

Through endless summers,
We grew so near, how?
Brushed our lips.
And wow (Oh wow, oh wow)

New feelings here,
That showed so clear,
So, why'd it all go wrong?
They said, it won't last, and
They've gone too fast, and
Watched us crash and burn.

Spent restless days,
Gone separate ways,
Both hearts beating on their own.
Was self-defeating, just revealing
Things we should have known.

That love grown slow
