Item for task 4 of 26 paychecks

I am pretty sure that I have not written anything in the satire genre. I think of satire as containing high levels of sarcasm in a nearly passive aggressive way. Google defines satire as the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. So my take on it is nott too far off. The point is to get a laugh out of the stupidity of others with the intention of illustrating the impossibly ridiculous nature of their behavior. That said, maybe I have written a bit of satire in my blog, but it isn't necessarily what my intentions were. I have not really thought about writing satire as a goal. Though sometimes I have posted things referring to Trump in reactions to other people's posts or blogs that probably would be considered satire. I guess my understanding of the genre wasn't good enough to realize that that is what I was doing.

At this point I think I would happily engage in intentional satire, especially blatantly political satire. I could really get behind trying to expose the failings of politicians, especially Trump, using humor, though I really don't think it takes much exaggeration to set his stupidity off.
