A poem written to parents of an organ donor.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Franklin,

I wrote a small poem recently and wanted to share it with you. I am forever grateful for Daniel’s gift.

His life.
Backpack, mountains, air.
Eyes, musical, fiery; smile.
His gift.
I strolled Central Park
Beautiful, warm, alive.
Blood flowing through me.
Recycled, moving again.
Christmas, daughter, clouds.
My life.

With love,

Andrew
