Day 2 - When you enter your assigned room with attached bathroom on the ship, it’s bare. You may decorate and furnish your room any way you like – just say it or wish it. The only limitation is you only have one port window. Tell us what the room looks like after you finish with it.

For all of you who didn't get the chance to meet me here in Writing.Com, I'm ~Minja~ and I'm not English but I'm good with spelling though. I signed up for this challenge because it's about the ship and I'm working on one. It'll be interesting to see how you guys think it should look like as I know how it REALLY looks like. *Smile* However, forgive me for my grammar, I signed up for Italian course on the ship and I do speak a little bit of Spanish plus my native. I tended to learn Tagalog as well but I gave up. My brain has limited capacity. Well, that's all you should know about me for now, as per this month blogging challenge. If you wanna know more please visit my portfolio and read some stuff of mine. I have few items about the ship in there and I started to write a book about daily life of a crew member though, I didn't write a single word in it since the last year. I hope I'll finish it some day. I would love to. I just need to SHUT UP and WRITE. Let's do the first prompt then.
If I get a chance, and I don't, to decorate my cabin how I really would like it to be, it would be just a painting of a view to paradise through the window. Just because I don't have window in my cabin. Most of the crew members don't. That's for officers only, cruise director, hotel director and captain. And it should look like this  . I always loved the idea about the small lake behind the house surrounded by trees and green. I'm, kinda, old fashioned. I would like if I was born back in 19th century where the ladies were ladies, curly hair, big dresses, gloves and umbrellas, tight-fisted into corset. I like the idea about the pool behind the house but the lake I love more. With few ducks or swans in there. I have one more option. Something like this  . I like autumn, maybe because I was born in autumn. I like it because it awakes some sweet-nostalgic feeling of sadness. That's the most colorful season for me and that's the period where I get inspired the most. Maybe I sound morbid because in autumn everything dies, I mean, nature dies but I don't write about death because I know at spring they'll be alive again. I just love that sweet feeling and thousands shades of brown then. I have one short, short story in my port that I wrote a while ago about coloring feelings in autumn. You may read it if you want. Here is the link:

On the contrary, here is a few tips that you maybe didn't know about rooms on the ship. I have read in Charlie ~ 's blog entry about the candles inside the room. Well, my dear, that's TOTALLY FORBIDDEN because the most dangerous thing on the ship is FIRE. Every ship has assigned smoking area and you are not allowed even to smoke without those, to throw the cigarettes overboard as the wind may blow them back. We have ashtrays in smoking areas and you have to be very careful when you extinguish your cigarettes. The rest of the areas has smoke detectors, even in your cabin. So, no way to smoke in the cabin if you have a cabin party or something. Though, you may smoke in the bathroom, there's no smoke detector in there but most of the bathrooms you have to share with the people who live in the cabin next to you and it sucks when someone is smoking as it smells like shit later on. Especially to those who don't smoke. Your neighbors may be the sweetest people ever or the worst one. They may report you to the officers for smoking in non-smoking area and you're fucked up. The choice is totally yours. That's why I quit. I was just too lazy to take the elevator to deck 4. forward of the ship, as I usually live on deck 0 or deck A, one deck below 0. To go to crew smoking area, especially late at night while I'm in the bed in pajama is just something I was lazy to do. However, I used to do that but not anymore.
My cabin on the ship REALLY looks like this:
Invalid Photo #1039248
I know, it's a mess, right? This is before cabin inspection lol. I slept on upper level then.

As you can see it's like 6x6 size and without windows nor free wall to decorate it. However, I have my wonderwall still. You wanna know what's the wonderwall? Wonderwall is the place on one wall inside your room, no matter size, where you keep all things that keeps you happy, nostalgic, such as different pictures, magnets, notes..whatever makes you happy. My wonderwall contains all of those and I have one picture of small piece of it. You wanna check? Here it is

PROMPT: Pick any movie you want (that you haven't already used) and explain why you picked it/why we should watch it.

Have you ever seen the movie where there is eventually ONLY ONE character in it?? Though, the movie is totally interesting, even the action is going on inside the coffin. No, you haven't? I knew it. Well, then you should see Buried. Alright, now you're asking how come this movie got great rating (7.0) when the whole scene is going on in coffin? It's simple, I'll tell you. It is because main character in the movie is adorable, the cutest Ryan Reynolds . Yes, you are totally right. I'm talking about The Amityville Horror Ryan..I know that all girls remember that "pajama scene" *Bigsmile* Here is a quick reminder if you don't remember*Right* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d6vwgWOCl4 *Left* make sure to watch this. *Delight* Let's get back to Buried.
Here Ryan appears as Paul, American truck driver in Iraq where he suddenly realize that he has been buried alive in coffin with just a lighter and the cellphone. A whole 95 minutes of the oxygen he is fighting to get out of there alive. I know it sounds boring but trust me it isn't. Not even a second. Read carefully, I said he was buried with a cellphone right? Why? He is in Iraq. What's in Iraq? A war. What's in Iraq war? A terrorists. Why he is buried with a cellphone? Someone will try to reach him even if he is 6 feet under. How? I don't know, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE. It's intense all the time and till the last second I didn't know how it will finish. I was so surprised, I wont say disappointed Ryan is great actor, I have seen all his movies. He surprised me here totally. A great, great thriller mystery. While watching I became a bit skeptic, I even became claustrofobic, I have no idea how he made it all up. The movie budget is around 3.000.000.00$. I mentioned this because in one entry I talked about low budget movies. I think I mentioned Paranormal Activity. Yes, for sure I can say that Buried surpassed all my expectations with eventually one character during a whole movie rather than that Paranormal Activity "movie attempt". *Bigsmile* That's it. I want to say that I had great time this month, and thank you Jeff for your great contest. I hope I'll see you some other time as well. *Smile* Until then..write on!! *Peace2*

This is just a horrible way to..

PROMPT: Pick any television show you want (that you haven't already used) and explain why you picked it/why we should watch it.

TV SHOW: Agatha Christie: Poirot (1989-2013)
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094525/

I'm pretty sure that you all heard about Agatha Christie's Poirot- Belgian detective who gets involved in mystery murders solving them with little help of Scotland Yard chief inspector Japp. British Television drama that showed on the screen from 8th of January 1989. till 13th of November 2013. Hercule Poirot fictional character is played by David Suchet, English actor. That's the only one I remember in this role. I didn't see all episodes and those that I saw were played by David. 1991 he received BAFTA award for his role as well as many others later on in his life.
Agatha's Hercul Poirot has been played by various actors but only David Suchet left the greatest impression of all. Agatha Christie died in January 1976. and she never saw David Suchet in any adoption. I've read few stories of Agatha's most famous character and I think David is the only one who could bring his character to the screen. Once when you have an actor who dedicate his life to one role and you know how much he has been trained for it, you can't resist but see at least one episode especially if the story is well written and we all know who was Agatha Christie. This might sound strange but every time I see David Suchet on the TV I always think of him as Hercul Poirot, it doesn't matter if he appears like that or not. Some actors almost live "character's life" for real, or at least they look like that. I wanted to talk about Sherlock today, I simply adore Benedict Cumberbatch because he is also one of the actors that give their selves for their role, but Poirot, kind of, left just for a second better impression on me. Maybe because I liked Agatha's novels more. As I said I am pretty sure that most of you read Agatha's novels, she is very famous and I think I don't need to convince you too much to check at least one episode of Hercul Poirot with David Suchet in it. *Smile*

PROMPT: What comedy movie makes you laugh the hardest?

FILM: Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112281/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4

"You know..If you were me, then I'd be you, and I'd use your body to get to the top. You can't stop me no matter who you are" -Ace Ventura

Ace Ventura is fictional character who appears as private detective, specializing in the retrieval of missing animals. His character plays mine personally the best comedian these days Jim Carrey. I know, some may not agree when I say he is the best but I know how many times I saw When Nature Calls and what kind of reactions I've had everytime. *Bigsmile* Movie is released back in 1995. He was, kind of, extension of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective released in 1994. One more film followed these two Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr. , released in 2009. but Jim Carrey never showed up in any scene. Here he finally married Melissa and they started a family but with set of events in the movie, apparently Ace disappeared somewhere in Bermuda Triangle and he never showed up.
Although, he is private detective and he works for the police department in Miami, he never showed any special nor extraordinary powers. He is a little bit vulgar, his behavior is mostly inappropriate but he is dedicated to his job. He is a huge animal lover and for that reason he is doing his job very well.
If you ask me now which scene I would single out that I think is the most funniest, I wouldn't know. The whole movie makes me wanna "cry" *Happycry* But, every time I'm watching When Nature Calls with my sister I know she cannot wait that "rhino scene" where he in one moment is stuck in mechanical rhino and, when his air condition inside broke, he had to get out of that mechanical womb. The only way out that he found was through mechanical rhino's ass. Some family, in the meanwhile, see mechanical rhino is moving while Ace is trying to get out and they think how rhino is going to have birth. Of course,Ace appears naked through rhino's ass instead of little rhino baby. I've heard that in UK some scenes has been cut for its content. However,"rhino scene" got alternative version as well. But I know I always laugh at this. I can always watch Jim Carrey in every movie, he is unique actor that cannot be replaced. *Smile* And, I know I said I cannot single out one scene from the movie that think is the most funniest one, but for all those who didn't see this movie I'm sharing one scene that I always think about while trying to find nice parking space in town. Enjoy *Laugh* *Laugh*

PROMPT: What upcoming show or movie are you most eagerly anticipating and why?

I'm writing about Noah because it's released in theaters on today's day March 28th and its already has strong critics. We all know the story about Noah's ark, it doesn't matter which religion you are trust me the story is TOTALLY THE SAME in every God's book. I've read Kur'an, I've read the Bible as well and I never came in conclusion that each of this religion is better than the other one. They only have different ways to lead you to Him but the concept is the same. Every religion is THE BEST for it self and for the people who belong to the same. Our job on the Earth is just to respect differences between each other and that I don't see often today. Yes, there are people who don't believe in anything, yes there are people who believe in different "things" than you but you should never force someone to practice your faith and beliefs. I am so sick of Muslims who don't respect anything than Islam and they think that is the purest religion on the planet. Every religion is pure if it comes from your heart. I am Muslim and I can tell you that things that I've learned and what my parents taught me from the very first moment when I said my first word is totally different than everything what countries such as UAE consider as great religious education. Religion always has broad term and there is no point to discuss about it with anyone. If you believe, then believe for yourself not for the others. God created you as unique human being and like that you have choices what you're gonna do from your life and no one can live your life except you. The choice is yours and yours only.
Noah is banned in Pakistan, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia, Middle East and North Africa countries prior to its release because it is seen by the governments of those countries as contradicting the teaching of Islam. *Angry* I cannot wait to see why they decided to ban it!! As I've said everyone has choice to give his opinion about certain spheres in life and if they banned this movie its almost the same if someone banned your opinion or even your existence!!

"I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief"

PROMPT: Which character's departure from what television series was the most shocking to you? No last episodes allowed; we're talking important characters leaving and the show continuing on for at least a little while without them.

CHARACTER: Shannen Doherty
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001147/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Everyone remember cute girl named Brenda Walsh, the twin sister of Brandon Walsh in Aaron Spelling's popular TV show Beverly Hills 90210. When was it? 90's again, of course *Bigsmile* I can't believe that I still remember some things, it has been long time ago though. Alright, I knew Shannen as a nice girl who was in love with adorable Dylan. The real truth was that our dear, lovely Shannen was totally rude freak and nobody couldn't work with her anymore. She acted like diva, she didn't take her job seriously and for that reason she has been fired by cast in season 4. After being kicked out of the show she has been replaced with another bad girl- Tiffani Amber-Thiessen. Years after Shannen got her role in famous serie Charmed but she didn't stay for too long there as well. Apparently she had hard time with her co-worker Alyssa Milano. After a few fights here and there her character has been killed in third season and being replaced with Rose McGowan. I liked Shannen in both TV shows and I can't believe that she is such a drama queen though she was heart and soul of 90210. When the rumors about reunion of 90210 spread in 2008. on a question if she would like to go back, Shannen said: why would I play Brenda Walsh again? Why would I possibly get myself back into that?…I didn’t want people hating me.
Sometimes I think of her as Justin Bieber nowadays, the more you hate them they are more popular. *Bigsmile* But, despite everything I loved Beverly Hills 90210.

PROMPT: What show or movie will you always watch when it comes on, no matter how many times you've seen it before?

TV SHOW: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098800/

Yo.. Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

As I've said in previous blog post 90's were simply adorable and The Fresh Prince is one more reason why I can proudly say that I'm glad I'm 90's child. I think everyone already heard about Will-The Fresh Prince so no need for too much description about him. Anyway, for those who don't know it's about teenager Will Smith who plays fictional character as himself in this comedy show. Born in West Philadelphia who is sent to move with his wealthy aunt and uncle Mrs. and Mr.Banks who lives in their mansion in Bel Air. I want to say that I remember Will Smith first as musician and rapper than actor. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was his real ticket to success. Later on he became more popular and wise as an actor same as ordinary person in Hollywood showbiz. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air finished with 6 seasons has been nominated for Golden Glob Awards, Emmy Awards and many others. My favorite relation in this TV show was the one with Will and his smart cousin Carlton. He always found the way to mock him and he proved that it's just not enough to have "little smart brain" for successful life but also to have luck and to be yourself. It has been long time since the last time I saw any episode and I forgot the content. But for sure I would love to see The Fresh Prince of Bel Air on the TV screen all over again. Any time. *Smile*

PROMPT: Did you ever watch a movie you weren't supposed to (like sneaking into a theater playing an R-rated movie when you're too young to buy a ticket yourself)? If so which one and how did you feel about it afterward? If not, were you ever tempted to?

FILM: Dangerous Liaisons
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094947/?ref_=nv_sr_3

Born in 80's, grew up in 90's. Is there anything better than that? I mean Nirvana and Grunge, Macarena, Titanic, Ricky Martin, The Shawshank Redemption, The Lion King, Mission Impossible.. and list goes on and on. 90's were years when everything was so normal..ok, ok, not everything(Nirvana) but a lot of stuff. I don't remember that I ever came in situation to see R-rated movie when I was younger, in the theater of course, but I remember something else. I usually hanged around with little bit older girls, friends and one time one of them asked me and my sister if we want to go to visit her cousin since his parents were out and we can watch some movie. I accepted and after visiting video store we had two VHS-cassettes ( OMG I can't believe how far technology moved since then, it was almost yesterday ). Her cousin was 4 years older than us and I remember I felt embarrassed in front of him but I didn't say anything. We got popcorns and first movie already played. Dangerous Liaisons. That time I didn't like John Malkovich at all. He was ugly, he looked rude to me, he was old. However, my friend's cousin enjoyed in the movie content, passionate romance drama where bored and rich aristocrats Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil and Vicomte Sébastien de Valmont are involved in love betrayal. Not that I didn't like the movie, I just felt embarrassed to watch it with them, there was some sex scenes and me, 10 years old girl, couldn't handle it. I didn't understand anything back then and I couldn't wait it to finish. I was so nervous and I ate popcorns like crazy. I didn't want to be rude enough to say anything to them, I just couldn't wait to go home and 120 minutes seemed like forever. We left even before second movie began. Next time I refused to go to his house, I didn't say the real reason, I just said that I have other plans. Even today when I see this guy I feel weird in his near. *Bigsmile* I saw Dangerous Liaisons couple of times since then and I liked it later on. Even John Malkovich wasn't ugly anymore. *Bigsmile*
Ah..90's... I wish I can go back there when life seemed so normal, when Scream-movie was horror genre. when we all knew Macarena dance, when movies of Tom Cruise played on every channel. They invented thousands ways for time to pass but not even one to stop it. I don't mind NOW, these years anyway, are not good enough to stop them. I want 90's to come back!!

PROMPT: Do you have a favorite screenwriter? BONUS: If you don't have one or know any (or even if you do), why do you think screenwriters aren't given as much prestige as actors, directors, and producers?

SCREENWRITER: NONE.
IMDB LINK: NONE.
LINK- 100 GREATEST SCREENWRITERS OF ALL TIME: http://littflicks.blogspot.com/2008/06/100-greatest-screenwriters-of-all-time.ht...

Here comes entry that I know nothing about. I know I'm not alone with this, if I ask you now who is your favorite screenwriter would you know his name?? Screenwriters historically has rough way in Hollywood. They are mostly skipped, forgotten, underpaid while actors and actresses takes almost a whole credit in one movie. To be totally honest I know not even one screenwriter's name because I never pay attention on them when I attempt to see a movie. Sad but true. When you think about it little bit more you realize the fact that screenwriter wrote a whole movie script. We all should know that every movie came up from someone's story, someone's mind and that it has to be written first before he come to big screen. We are all writers here, there is no reason to not be screenwriter one day and can you imagine, if that happens, Angelina Jolie is going to be more famous than you, you who made her famous with ideas from your head. It's like you write a novel and character that you make is more famous than yourself. That feeling I've got first time I've heard about Christian Grey. I bet you all know who is Christian Grey... yes Fifty Shades of Grey. When this book became popular I didn't know what was it all about. All I knew was that every woman on this planet dreamed about Christian Grey. Who is that boy? I want to know- I said one day. Google is amazing thing as always and I've found out that he is fictional character of E.L.James. I remember that three months later everyone still talked about Christian and NO ONE else. When they started with filming this movie, my God...I don't know if you followed internet news those days but no one cared about anything else than who will get Christian's role? No one even asked who will write script. I think that even E.L.James fell in shadow of her own character. So, definitely screenwriters deserves more than they ever gets. They are the one who makes screen alive. They are the one who run this show. And now, please excuse me. I'm going to have coffee with Christian...and, I hate coffee. *Bigsmile*

PROMPT: What was one of your favorite cartoons as a kid? Or today... if you still watch cartoons today, you can totally talk about those too.

CARTOON: Somewhere in Dreamland (1936)
IMDB LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0028277/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I wanted to go with Tom&Jerry today or even Bugs Bunny, Professor Balthazar, Mickey Mouse, The Poddington Peas, The Ewoks and many others popular cartoons that even today you can find on the TV but I chose Somewhere in Dreamland because that cartoon is always something that makes me want to cry and it has good moral story. Somewhere in Dreamland cartoon is about brother and sister who lives poor life with their mother in old house. During the day they collect firewood on the streets of their city so they wont be frozen in their old house. Poor mother don't even have a good food for them except one piece of dried bread. When they came back with firewood one day she gave them their food and when boy finished his piece he wanted some more. Poor mother didn't have anything else to give him and she starts to cry. Little boy felt sorry for saying anything and, to cheer her up, he said that he was just joking. After dinner they went to bed and starts to dream about candies, chocolates, cakes and all food that his sister, mother and himself can not afford. They dream about nice clothes and how they are playing in yard full of candies. But the hardest thing for a man is to wake up and to realize that everything wasn't real. But, in this story, the end is little bit different. When they woke up and went to the kitchen for breakfast so they can go to collect more firewood, on the kitchen table they find everything what they were dreamed about. While they were passing through the city some citizens observed their poor life and during the night they came to their house with food. Children were happy and satisfied. *Smile* And you see, to make positive difference in someone's life you don't need to be rich, beautiful or brilliant. YOU JUST HAVE TO CARE !
I don't know why today they don't have cartoons for children with real moral messages. Today everything is about weapons, some weird looking characters and cartoons without any sense. If I ever get a child again I swore he will grow up just as I did. With some real stuff, nice stories and proper education about ordinary things what one human being HAVE to know. Check the video below to see what I'm talking about.
"MORAL OF THE STORY"
If you can dream it then you can have it. Always remember that this whole thing started with a dream and a mouse -Walt E.Disney
