It is 6:01 here in North Carolina. It is raining cats and dogs. Can you imagine if it actually rained cats and dogs? What a mess we would all have. The SPCA would be out looking for Mother Nature and protesting that all motorist stay home because if they drove the animals could be harmed. Is there a story idea in there somewhere? Maybe....

October is almost gone. Halloween will soon come and go as if in a hurry to make way for Thanksgiving, then Christmas will be upon us. In stores that I have been in within the past two months Christmas decorations have already been displayed for sale. Is it time that is speeding up celebrations or is it the impatience of man making them come faster? By the time Christmas gets here, like usual Valentine products will grace the shelf along with decorations for Christamas. I wonder if in the name of saving time, why don't they just leave everything for all seasons on the shelf everyday. Or they could divide their store into sections with each holiday promoted within that section. Before too long that will probably happen.

I have finished moving but I have so many books I just may have to put them in storage. I would say that I have enough books to open a small library. Some I have read but most of them are waiting to be opened. I love my books and I hope to be able to read more. So much has been going on that I haven't done much reading lately. Does anyone else out there like to read?

I have finally finished moving all my stuff. Now, I have to go thru everything because I have so much that some will have to go into storage. I did not realize I had so much until I started moving. Most of it is books that I haven't read. I could not even think about getting rid of my books. Hopefully I will be able to get my own computer operational within the next week or two. Then I can start concentrating on writing again.

I am hoping today I will be able to get the rest of my stuff moved. Last week it rained everyday and I could not move alot. I did not realize I had accumalated so much until I started moving. Of course I love to read so I have quite a few books. I haven't got my computer hooked up yet so I am using my sister's computer. To me the only thing worse than packing is unpacking. Until next time and I hope you all have a great day!

Have you ever had a weekend be going so good and then you get news that your child has gotten herself into something that she could possibly serve time? I know I may be jumping the gun about her serving time but you never know. Even though she claims her innocence there are other things to consider. I didn't want to yell at her because it really would not serve a purpose at this point. I tried to tell her months ago to behave but she thinks she knows it all. Still I am her mother so I will stand by her but what I really want to do is turn back time. I don't really expect anyone to respond
but I just needed to write down my thoughts before I explode.

Tonight I went to Bojangles and bought chicken for me and my son to eat. Wouldn't you know I found a hair(not mine) in my food. I tried to pass it off as mine and continued to eat because I was hungry. Well, when I found a second hair that matched the first one I was done. I called the manager and told her what happened. She offered to replace my order, but I told her those hairs had turned me off of Bojangles. Then she told me she could refund my money if I took the food back. I told her I would be glad to take it back. Doesn't that just turn your stomach like it has mine. One hair is bad enough but 2 hairs is gross. I'm wondering how many more hairs are in there and I just didn't see them. YUCK!

One day last week, I sat outside McDonald's waiting to take my son to school. Facing the traffic, there is a small traffic island with a STOP sign that I had full view of. Most of the drivers would slow down but they didn't stop unless the car in front of them had to stop. After that car went thru, the other cars would proceed thru like they thought they were supposed to. My question is does STOP still mean STOP or does it mean slow treading on pavement? This place is an accident waiting to happen since so many people cruise thru there like their business is more important than anyone else. I'd say out of 30 cars that went thru while I was there only 5 actually stopped like they were supposed to.

Two nights ago I was sitting at my computer desk in a chair that is ready to be retired to the trash bin. It is like everytime I sit in it I have to balance myself. Well, I was sitting there and the next thing I know I must have fallen asleep, the chair tipped to the side and I fell right onto the floor. All I could do was laugh. Ever happen to you?

Last week I received a phone call telling me I had qualified for a chance to win a 2010 Jeep. All I had to do was be at the car dealership Saturday morning. I went even though I figured it was just a gimmick to get me there to buy soomething. I checked in and they fed us barbequed pork. Of course, I was eliminated but I did receive a mountain dew hat, a can hugger and a 6pack of mountain dew. I don't regret going, but I sure wish I had won that jeep. It was so purty.

I just wanted to let you know my daughter graduated from high school. She plans to go on to college at least I think she is still going.

My son will be in the fourth grade next year. He should actually be in the sixth grade but he was held back in the first and failed third grade last year. He doesn't understand the concept of homework and working at your assignments thru the year. He doesn't like school so the whole year it is a fight just about everyday to get him up and off to school. I have tried everything I can think of to get him motivated.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be most appreciative.

Tonight a friend of mine called me and told me she met someone who used to work at the same hospital I used to work at. This woman was upset because she had gotten fired yesterday. I was fired in April. This woman said she heard that if you aren't in the cliche at the hospital they would do anything to get rid of you. I know all rumors aren't true but the people in charge at this hospital are totally ruthless. I know it to be true because some of past co-workers could do the same thing I did and nothing happened to them yet I would be pulled to the back and be written up.Is that fair? I think not. I'm thinking about getting a lawyer, I don't know yet. Someone needs to teach them people we are all the same not things that can be thrown around like used items.

Imagine my reaction when I went shopping today and came upon a setup of boxes at the grocery store. They had potato chips flavored with ketchup, Steak and Baby Back Ribs. I have to admit the steak is good but it doesn't really taste like a steak, the baby back ribs taste like something off the grill and I haven't tasted the ketchup ones yet. I will let you all know since you won't be able to sleep until you find out.

I hope this message finds you well. School is almost out and summer is upon us. My son think he may have to repeat third grade over again. I don't see the need in this. I'm going to check with the school and if that is the case, I am going to homeschool him next year. Wish me luck.

School is about to be out. How many of you are looking forward to it? Hopefully we all will have some grand times with our kids that we can share with everyone else. A good contest for someone to host maybe.

Can anyone tell me just how to get others to read a blog and even comment on it. I have read others and I don't think my blog is any worse or better. I'm just curious. That is all.

There is an old saying, When Life Hands You Lemons Make Lemonade. Well, I have been given so many lemons lately I have a big surlpus of lemonade. Therefore, I am setting up a Lemonade Stand and if anyone is thristy come and get a free glass. All I ask is to stop and talk and awhile. Until next time.
