A world without rainbows
Why is life without color?
It’s gray, dead, bleak.
Doldrums slip over the edge
Why is there nothing to be?
Is there a secret rainbow hidden
That no one in the world has found?
Or is there just blank dreariness
Enfolding the world in a black shroud?
Will color return to glorious life,
All brilliant blues and reds?
Or will there just be empty hollows?
Dark shadows in color’s stead.
