A poem about a dream of someone I loved who has passed away.
Coming Home

From the earth, you rose,
an unexpected warm rush of wind,
fell into my arms
like you were coming home.
I cradled you within,
wanting to hold on
to the vaporous dream
like a cloud held in the heavens,
but as in  life
you slipped through my fingers
leaving the comfort once shared
in each other's arms
to softly linger.
