A narrative crime poem about a group of strangers who meet up at a roadside diner.
In the hazy dusk of a forsaken highway,
A diner stood, a haven in the gloom's sway.
Strangers, with shadows clinging to their souls,
Crept in, each bearing secrets, playing roles.

One by one, they entered, eyes ablaze,
Whispers of danger lingering in the haze.
Their glances sharp, suspicion ran deep,
In this eerie diner, where secrets creep.

A flicker of light revealed their wary faces,
Each one, a stranger in clandestine places.
Their silence deafening, the tension thick,
In this desolate diner, fate's cruel trick.

A sudden movement, a gun is drawn,
Pandemonium breaks, all hope is gone.
Shattered glass, screams, the smell of dread,
In this twisted dance of the nearly dead.

A symphony of chaos, bullets in flight,
Painting the diner in hues of the night.
Crimson rivers flow, staining the floor,
An orchestra of violence, a deadly score.

The strangers, now foes in this deadly spree,
Bound by fate in this grim tragedy.
A tableau of fear, of rage, of sin,
In this roadside diner, where darkness wins.

As the gunfire fades, the smoke drifts away,
The strangers lie still, where they once did stray.
An eerie silence falls, thick and dread,
In this diner of the damned, where blood is shed.
