Written for my teenage daughter that was overlooked for a musical part.
One line, one line,
Though talent sublime.
Roles cast by ego,
Will not define.
Your personal best needs no judge.
Your soul is sacred,
And need not begrudge.
For you have within you,
The power to shine.
In big ways,
Big hurdles you'll climb.

Away from small mindset,
Successfully soar.
Charisma will lift you
And show you much more.

Politics, red tape, cajoling your foe.
You will find hindrances
Where ever you go.

So do your best for yourself and yourself alone.
Your talent will carry you, your personal joy, you will own.

You'll earn for yourself,
Not looking for praise.
Just shining your spirit,
Fulfillment will raise.

You'll look back to the day,
Talent overlooked.
You'll be glad for the humble, self rewarding,
Road that you took.

Personal goals are best by far,
Humbly your heart realizes,
Your the greatest star......
