I hate being a perfectionist.
One day, I want to say
I used to be a perfectionist
Until I stopped chasing
What I could not catch.

But who knows
If that day will ever come?
And who knows
What it will bring?

I have always had
Good grades,
Never doing anything
My own way.

I played the part of the
Good girl,
Never knowing what else
To do.

Today's the day it all ends.
Today's the day I speak.
Today's the day I show the world
I'm anything but weak.

Today's the day the world will see
Who I really am.
Today's the day I give up on perfection.
Never again.
