A poem that captures my experience with a female, almost as well as a photo could.
Picture this...

As I fiddle with my new lens...
An angel walks into the midst
of my shot,
I'm zoomed in...
Now the bigger picture is...
Feeling a little cropped...

I'm less worried about
Everything else on the map now...
As the importance of the world
Begins to fade into the background...

But I'm afraid to take the photo,
Fear of rejection was never so potent,
But it was clearly understood
That she was the main focus...

And so I snap...
I take a shot with her...
A picture could fill the void
Whenever I'm not with her,

And I'm not with her...
Because she's with him,
Woman napped by a so called man
To unafraid to live...

I captured beauty that
Needn't be captured...
I just needed to compare
The before and afters..

After all...
I fell in love with her smile
and not her actions in the bedroom...
Although I'm sure her love could paint walls and tiles
turning my personal space into a red room...

Picture framed as a frame of reference...

I'm staring at the positives I got,
From the negatives he shot...

Seeing her underdeveloped meant...
My prerogative has always been her development...
