With all the enthusiasm I'm here to blog. I write anything that amazes me.
Thoughts of becoming a writer is compelling me to write something everyday. I can do everything to satisfy this urge. I'm not surprised to discover this urge as it haunted me in my subconscious levels. I have decided that I have to become and stay a writer for rest of my life. No one can stop me on that. For living a writer's life, I have started this blog and I also keep a track of the writing modules. Penning with grip and having a control over words is challenging but nothing compared to the choice of topic and maintaining a focus on the selected topic. Writing swiftly having a focus and force definitely attracts but it only escalates when the focus is consistent and does not waver with swings of mood. When you get into the influence of swinging moods and wavering mind, I just want to get up, dress up and start writing. I tried this for the past few days and I'm amazed to see the results. I feel there's happiness even in depression. As you get deeper and deeper with the words and construction of sentences, the write up blooms like a flower, opening naturally without any coercion.

How to plan my writing?

I wonder if I have to really plan at all! The greatest and the foremost obstruction in writing is shallow knowledge, that does not allow one to proceed further. Getting int the insights by keeping our minds open and constant reading helps to gain that extra zing of knowledge that we crave at. The second important lesson to follow is to comprehend the technical aspects of writing. When you stumble upon writing a new topic, jotting down everything can ease up writing. Writing in air does not add substantially. The powerful words of a good article may give a great inspiration!

This is my first blog. I have tried writing something. Kindly add your thoughts to this so that I can develop further.

Hope you liked it!

When I cast a backward glance at my life, I feel the roads that I have undertaken are different from one another. I have probably made the right decisions everytime and I have taken the correct road. Decision making is a tedious job. It is also a continous job. Everyday we think about what vegetables to buy, what dress to wear and at what time certain job has to be done. These are all personal decisions. While some decisions affect others, some affect the society as a whole. So one should be very careful while taking decisions

This is the place whee I'm learning writing. As I'm quite poor at Grammar, there will be mistakes in the construction of my sentences. I want somebody to really point out at my mistakes, so that I can improve further. Very few have viewed my blog and really commented. This is quite discouraging and disheartning for me. This is one line of thought that occured to me. On the other hand I'm happy that I get to see lot of writers writing here and I can learn a lot from how they write. Just now I read "The writer with a golden Pen". The author has written as to how he developed as a writer. He has been writing since he was ten years old and he has great imagination and is an ace in writing stories with were wolves, alliens and vampires as characters.
As far as I'm concerned my imagination is very limited but in my dreams I see a lot of things. Everyday I dream and in the morning, I forget. One such dream I remember is some woman had come to my home and she started knocking the door. Somehow my sixth sense told me that she is not to be believed because she is a witch. I was so scared to open the door. She is knocking all the windows and calling me by my name in a very sweet voice. I was so scared and I'm trying to close all the windows that are open. I saw her through one of the open windows. She was fair, fat and good looking. She wore a nice cotton saree.
As I finished closing all the windows, i rushed towards the back door. By the time I reached there, she was already inside the house and had left a black snake with thousand heads inside the house. The snake crept into the kitchen. I closed the door of the kitchen and yelled for help.
By that time my eyes got wide opened and I was awake.

Cheers,

For some days ahead, I'm going to write whatever comes to my mind without any focus. I'll do this because nothing is striking me. I'll write for 10 minutes continuously anything that comes to my mind.
Today, I'm happy I did a lot of office work. I checked all the certificates and signed them. The second major thing I did was to bring a service provider to the office who could give us sim, so that we can send messages to all our cadets at one go.
While I'm happy about these two things, I'm not happy because I could not spend time in reading anything. Just now I have opened my laptop and soon I've to go home to take my child for the dance class.
This reminds me, My daughter is doing well in her dance class. She is picking up steps at a faster rate and she has a grace in her posture. Her interest in the dance combined with agility make me feel that she can become a reputed dancer one day.

cheers,

Past three days I din't update my blog because guests were at home. My mother and my sister's family had come home.
Friday was the independence day. We hoisted the national flag at our office premises followed by singing of the national anthem. A small teaparty was organized. That's how I kick started my day which went off wonderful. In the evening the guests arrived and I had cooked dinner for them. The next day we set out to a place called Nanjangud, some 20 KMs away from my place. We had a good darshan of the God and had food in a nearby hotel. The food was so so...I mean not very good. After filling our tummies, we came home by evening. Evening, my sister took out all the the children to a place called Planet X where they could play lot of games. They returned home by the time I finished cooking my dinner. I could see the joy on the faces of the children. They had enjoyed to their brim. After all the tiring journey, the dinner seemed to be apt and sumptous for the evening .

Sunday I opted to remain at home. They all went to Bandipur forest. I and my mother remained at home because we had to visit a far off ailing relative. I took my mother there. They were overwhelmed with joy because they were seeing my mother after a very long time. Once upon a time they were so close to us. They had taken care of my mother during my brother's pregnancy. The relative who was ill seemed better and talked to us quite a bit. The visit was brief but cherishable. After returning home, both of us, me and my mother made lot of snacks and dishes. It was Janmashtami, and we had to do lot of preperations. We did up everything, by the time they returned. They all came back wet and tired. I offered them coffee which was highly refreshing. Then they rejoiced the dinner that was full of snacks and various dishes. It was already late in the night and they had to rush back to Bangalore.

It's very difficult to write without a prompt. Reading other authors is the only inspiration that I get.

Today I read about 'choosing a specialization'. The author says here "not being good at something should not be the basis of one's reason for elimination of a certain specialization." I completly contradict this statement because I know very well that in my MBA, if I would have chosen Finance as the specialization, I would have failed in all the subjects that has accounts. I'm very poor at it. Till now that is after six years, I took up MBA, I'm not able to pass in the quantitative analysis for managers. I passed all the other subjects, but this subject is a hard nut to crackle.
My specialization is HR and it is easy because it is more of a theory. It is to deal with people. I have to have the knack of talking to people counselling and a keen sense of psychology.

So many times I opened the blog page today but nothing striked me to write. I really don't know what to write but still I have started to write.

Last sunday I visited the VenuGopal swamy temple , which is under construction. The beauty of the temple lies in the stones used and the intricate carvings made. It was a submerged temple in the Krishnarajasagara's back waters. The stones are removed from the waters and the temple is under reconstruction. It will soon be a replica of the submerged temple.

The best part of the temple is its vast gallery and the granduer lies in the four mantaps they are making on the corners of the temple. From the front part of the temple you can view the Krishnarajasagara dam. Surrounded by waters on all three sides the temple stands, creating a great visual experience. At this stage of half construction, people are thronging the temple. To the left of the temple vehicles are parked in a disorderly fashion.

The cool waters of the cauvery forms a fence to the temple. This year the water is upto the brim, People sit on the cement strairs to just dip their feet in refreshing water. You can see people clicking photographs everywhere. icecream wallahs and churumuri wallahs supply cold and hot eatables respectively. To the chill weather the hot churumuri is a treat to the tastebuds.

In the gallery the main garba gudi is for the Venugopalaswamy and the other garbagudis (Sanctum sanctorum) are for ashta lakshmis (Eight different incarnations of Lakshmi), surya(Sun God), Chandra (Moon God), and other nine planets. There are garbagudis for dashavatar (Ten incarnations of Vishnu) and also the important hermits. The sanctum sanctorum is ready and the Gods have to be placed yet.

I'm rather amazed by the Pagoda flower. It looks exactly like a tower with a broad base and tapering end. The infloresence is so beautiful with cluster of flowers. It is also called the chariot flower as it resembles the top most part of the temple car. It is grown mostly in the tropical region ie., in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The butterflies feasts on the enormous nectar the flowers possesses. This wild flower grows mostly on the banks of rivers, streams and brooks and is a great feast for eyes both when grown individually or in clusters. The botanical name of this flower is clerodendrum paniculatum, as coined by the Swedish botanist, Carl Linnaeus.

It was a hot day in the month of April. Since the para sailing course was cancelled, we were supposed to return back to Bangalore from Agra. I was detailed as an escort to my cadet Jyothi to the course. The whole day we roamed aimlessly with sweat dripping from our face. All the planes had flown to Maldives as there was a coup in Maldives. So the para sailing course that was scheduled got cancelled all of a sudden. Reservation in train was out of question. The only option left was to return to Bangalore in an unreserved compartment. Our train 'Karnataka Express' was at 9 P.M. I and Jyothi, both holding heavy baggage in both the hands reached the platform at around 8.30. The train was late by half an hour and slowly came to a halt. We were looking for the unreserved compartment which is usually the first or the last bogie. The stopping time at that station was only five minutes. In those five minutes we were to board the train. We kept running towards the bogie with heavy baggage. Thank God we did not fall! But to our great surprise the unreserved bogie was closed. We knocked at the door hard. Then it was partially opened. I put Jyothi.s one of the baggage inside and asked her to get in. She somehow managed to squeeze in. In all this, we lost the five minutes and the train began to move. I shouted JYothi...Jyothi and ran behind the train. Meanwhile one of my luggage slipped in the gap between the train and the platform. We got separated, She had to travel alone to Bangalore. I cannot forget this incident as I was unable to do the duty of escorting!

Elephants have a greater power of smell than any other animals. It has twice the genes than that of a dog and five times that of a human being. Humans have about 400 olfactory genes. Elephants have set a new record of possessing 2000 genes as against that of rats who have 1,200 genes, dedicated to smell.
What may be the reason to have so many genes? Yoshihito Nimura is a molecular evolutionist at Tokyo has written in the email that "But it's likely related to the importance of smell to the poorly sighted African elephant in interpreting and navigating its environment." Smell is rather a very significant sense for the functioning of an elephant for the trunk of the elephant acts like a hand to grip the food and other objects. " It is like having a nose in our palm!" Nimura said.

I'm seeing this cousin of mine, who has retired as the Director of Pre-university board, after more than thirty years. he looks still the same. He has an ardor for the family and takes pride that he belongs to Sthanikam family. His talk is very affectionate, He lives with his wife, quite close to my house. Banu is a fiftyish man, plump, short and whose manner might be described as charming. His professor experience makes him talk more and more. He came home yesterday, took me, my sister, brother-in-law and our children to his house and often talked about how closely we are related. His house is spic-span, where the interiors are decorated by his own brother. The furniture spoke about style and modernity.
