Journal entries of my life as a writer.
This is a journal of my writing life since I joined the Writing.com community of writers. This is such a different place for me, I think it's a good idea to document my new writing adventures.

May 12 Blogging Prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS

Imagine that the person who broke your heart the most came crawling back. How would you react? I think I would be civil about it, but I don't think I would get back together with him again. He would have to sweep me off of my feet and that would be difficult to do with all of the past history between us. It would be interesting to catch up with our lives and hear what brought him back to me. I would be intetested in knowing. It could make a difference.

May 12 Blogging Prompt for "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise

List five things you will never forget by filling in this sentence: I'll never forget the time...

I'll never forget the time I stepped on a rusty nail with my bare foot as I was stomping in a mud hole. It went in deep in the center of my foot. My brother and I were trying to soften the dirt in a hole where we decided to make a swimming pool. I washed off the mud and called my mom, but I ended up going to troop camping the next day at a summer camp on Catalina Island off of Long Beach, California. The wound ended up getting infected while I was at camp. My mom and I got a speed boat ride to the closest city of Avalon on the island. There was a red line crawling up my leg from my foot, so this was a serious infection. The doctor snipped off the top of the sore and let it drain out. That took care of the situation.

I'll never forget the time I told my guidance counselor she was discriminating against woodwind players by placing them in the wrong level of math class and preventing them from taking calculus their senior year in school. I got myself and a few other students to work on the higher level of books at the end of the school year and skip pre-algebra so we wouldn't be behind in math anymore. I ended up having experiences I never would have had otherwise and I also became a math teacher so I could help others see how much fun math is.

I'll never forget the time my music teacher cried because I told him he wanted me to do something that didn't make sense. I was in charge of collecting the music when we were done with it. I wanted to collect it in score order so that it was easier to put it back in the music library properly. For some reason my teacher wanted to make my life more difficult by having me collect the music out of order. I never did understand why he ended up crying over it. He decided to quit teaching a couple of years later and went back to being a full time beach life guard. He made it into the newspaper a few times with that job. I guess teaching just wasn't his thing.

I'll never forget the time I decided to take a break from going to college. Life wasn't going well at school, I had developed a Christmas tree shaped nervous rash and I knew my parents couldn't afford to send my brother and me to college at the same time. I wanted to work until I figured out wjat major I really wanted to get. I still ended up being a math teacher, but I ended up with so many other experiences along the way, I think I was a better teacher because of it.

I'll never forget the time I stayed at my grandma's house for a couple of years. She was a difficult person to get along with, so I ended up staying out as much as possible so we wouldn't clash. I spent day after day riding around on public transit all over Los Angeles County in.Southern California. There are trains as well as busses these days, so it was very imtetrsting. I enjoyed the sight seeing and took pictures of all kinds of artwork all over the train system at every station. I imagine writing a public transit book about my travels. It would be intetesting if I did end up writing it. At least I had that lovely experience.

May 12 Blogging Prompt from "Blogging Circle of Friends

Write about a window that opened in your life when a door was closed. I had to leave three jobs I had in education to flee from my stalkers attacking me in my home. This gave me time in my life to write more. I wrote so much that I ended up self-publishing several books. Many of the books have educational materials I hadn't had time to create while I was so busy teaching and tutoring. I have done so much journal writing that I never would have had time to do while working three jobs.

The long and short of it is that now I help more people than I used to be able to help. I have long time statistics on my website showing how many people are using a wide variety of my educational resources. It makes me feel good to know how many teachers are using my materials. I'm so happy I can still give back to the world of education now that I'm no longer teaching in a paid position. I know my materials do help teach,.so I'm still able to make a positive difference in people's lives.

I found a reminder to blog in my email... I missed a whole day of blogging again. I missed another Sunday, too. That's two Sundays I've missed.

Oh well. I guess it shows I'm not perfect. Missing Mother's Day isn't the worst day to miss, but once again, I had something to post and didn't get around to it because I forgot.

Life goes on... and on... and on...

May 10 Blogging Prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS

Tell or share with your readers what the biggest fraud you have experienced fro othets or from close friends. How did you react? This prompt calls to the stalking disaster in my life that destroyed my life. Part of the stalking was telling lies about me and leading people to believe the wrong thing when the truth was told, on top of the fake porn site that was shown to my students and their famies. There were many lies and misleading information. My stalkers told people I was in special ed and left off the part about it being for gifted students. People can read my writing or talk to me to understand that one. My stalkers told people I was a child stalker because my job included me calling my students and their parents for scheduling of meetings and other issues. I drove to the students' homes and met with them in other locatilns, as well as teaching more traditional classes at the learning center. I was an independent studies teacher at a charter school based in the Sacramento area in California.

When it came to other crimes my stalkers said I committed, things just got worse. They said I was in a sexual relationship with a child and they called me a child molester. This was such a sad lie they resorted to trying to set me up to molest children in an attempt to prove they were right. This never ended up working the way they had invisioned. Since I never molested any children, there was never a reason to arrest me or charge me or prosecute me for this lie.

When they said I murdered my dad, when I wasn't with him at the time he died and his death certificate stated he diedof natural causes due to a blood vessel bursting in the base of his brain and he was left to die in the hospital through starvation after it was determined he was a vegetable from thd severe brain damage that continued while he was in the hospital from a stroke. I was told my dad was so weak that he died during the ambulance ride from the hospital to the nursing home while I was at the movies with my mom and my grandma. No one murdered my dad. It was just another lie.

They also said I was a terrorist so they could invoke the Patriot Act and have me under surveillance without a court order. They thought it would cover the previous illegal surveillance, but the Patriot Act isn't retroactive. There is no evidence of me being a terrorist. Just because I traveled to Jeruselem, Israel and Malaysia for work does not mean I have any involvement in terrorist acts. This claim isn't founded at all and was only done to get them out of trouble for their criminal actions.

The fake porn site, which does have photos and video of me, shows evidence that I'm a victim. I have no access to the photos and video and I also have no access to update the website. It's sad when people say that I participated willingly when I didn't. My stalkers have tried to say that I am into rape sex. Rough sex which is consensual is not rape sex. The sad part is they have all sorts of crime scene footage, instead of other footage that they would have no right to post on the website anyway. The whole thing is evidence of crimes against me.

So thesad part pf these lies and other crimes against me is that there are so many people involved who want to harm me, there is no way to stop the harm. Even when some of them do get arrested and convicted, there are still others to take their place. Some people don't believe stalking is a real crime, so they don't even try to help. Some people are hateful and they want me to suffer because they got themselves into trouble because of their own involvement in stalking me. So I justtake my life one day at a time and try my best to put my life back together again.

May 10 Blogging Prompt for "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise

What's tougher: living with someone messy or someone noisy? I believe it would be tougher to live with a noisy person. You could walk around the messes or clean them up, but you might not be able to quiet the noisy person. So I see it as having things clean every once in a while or deal with being annpyed with the noise. I know the messes would be hard to handle, too, but I like peace and quiet. That's more important to me.

What's the most dreadful or wonderful experience you've ever had as a customer? How could it have been better or worse? I would have to say the time a friend and I bought a newly built house together. We got to make all kinds of decisions while the house was being built for little extras like extra lighting, carpet color and even cabinet placement. We even turned part of the garage into a bedroom and added a sliding glass door. It was anything we wanted and the person we dealt with was suxh a nice man. We got the most friendly and helpful service ever. We struggled with financing, but it finally came through and people were nice about it the whole way. This was out in the delta area of the San Francisco Bay Area in Brentwood, where a farmer sold his land for new housing.

The wind has been blowing here in Las Vegas for the past several days. Write a story or poem about a seasonal wind.

The San Andreas

"The San Andreas is blowing again. You know what that means."

"Yeah, it means winter feels like summer with the winds blowing off of the desert instead of off of the ocean."

"But it also means Grandma is going to want to go on a picnic on the beach."

"Harry, I forgot all about that. I guess we'll have cold chicken as usual."

"Yep, Frank. We'll probably have potato salad and fruit salad, too."

"Then we'll have to take a picture and send it back to the family in Illinois, who are burried in snow."

"Well, they thought this part of the family moving to California was going to go bad because they weren't on the farm anymore."

"Grandma likes to stick it to them to show them life is wonderful in California."

"No one else is gonna be at the beach."

"So? When else is it like that? Let's enjoy it while we can."

May 8 Blogging Prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS

You have just recognized the girl or guy in the elevator with you. She/he is the person you loved from afar in high school but never asked out. The elevator stops between floors. You two are alone and stuck for at least an hour. What do you do?

"Tony. Is that you?"

"Mandy?"

"I haven't seen you since high school. Did you ever get married?"

"I got married and divorced. How about you?"

"I almost got married a couple of times, but to tell you the truth, I think I lost my heart to a guy back in high school. The others just didn't measure up."

"Really? Who?"

"You, Tony. I fell in love with you back then, but I never knew what to do about it... and now here we are stuck here together."

"So maybe we should try a kiss to see how we feel about things." Tony walked over to Mandy and turned her so her back was up against the wall of the elevator. He kissed her gently, then more deeply as he let his hands feel and grab. Mandy let her hands wander as well.

"I think we should exchange phone numbers and meet up once we get out of here, Tony."

Tony pulled out his business card and wrote his cell phone number on the back as Mandy did the same. They traded cards and stuffed them away. Tony said, "I think you should come with me to my place so I can cook for you once we get out of here. We can use this accident as our excuse to others."

"I have a feeling you have more than a meal in mind for this visit to your place."

"I have more in mind for our stay in this elevator and for back at my place. We have lost time to make up for... Are you game?"

"I've been waiting for us to get together for years, Tony. Yes, I'm game. Lead the way and I'll follow wherever you want to go."

The two scrambled to get their clothes on and straightened as they heard the men call at the door that they almost had the elevator fixed and it would be just a minute more. Tony wondered if they had been listening to what was going on inside of the elevator. He had a feeling the elevator could have been fixed a while ago. He thought about how lucky he and Mandy were to find each other after all of this time. He wanted to move fast with Mandy so he wouldn't be unmarried for long. He thought how he should have paid more attention to Mandy back in high school.

Has something simple (for instance a smile) ever changed your entire attitude or mood or both? Tell us about it. I have had reviews of my writing make me feel on top of the world. My writing is a little outside of the norm, so getting those positive reviews means the world to me. I write mostly for myself, but it's wonderful when others like it, too.

What are your plans for summer? I have no vacation plans for this summer, but if I can get a lot of educational materials done this summer, they would be ready for teachers to use in the fall. Some teachers do prep during the end of summer, so it helps to be ready for them
I hope they like the new sections I've added to my yellow website https://www.edonyourown.com.

Nobody knows that I... both secretly wish for a wonderful man in my life and fear thongs going sour with that same person. I want to be in a relationship, but I want it to be with someone who would want to work to make things last tge length of time. He would like me for who I am, instead of trying to change me into someone I'm not. I do enough changing on my own. I would want to feel like this man is a long lost friend, that we somehow alreasy knew each other somehow. I would want him to be very loving and caring and strong.

Write about a book that you recently read that stayed with you after you closed the last page. The Giving Tree is a children's book that shows a boy and a tree who are such good friends that the tree helps the boy as much as he can. The boy grows up and uses everything the tree has yo offer, untill all he has is a stump and that's what the boy grown into an old man needs... a place to rest. It makes me think of how giving some people are and how it makes a world of difference for others. It's good for people to help each other and not take advantage of people.

If you were to put a message in a bottle and send it out to sea, what would you write? Would you meet the person that finds your bottle? It seems messages in bottles either contain requests for help or love letters. I choose love letter and I do want to meet someone in connection with it being found.

Dear Future Love,

I know you're out there. We just haven't found our way to each other yet. I know I'll enjoy my new life with you, as you're the strong, loving man I've wished for for such a long time. You'll enjoy spending time with me on camping trips, adventures on the road, home cooked meals, movies, plays and our special romantic time together.

We'll be there to support each other in times of need. Our support of each other will be spent cheering each other on in our achievements, too. We'll have our own lives, doing our own things, but we'll always make time for each other. We'll work through our issues with the knowledge that we love each other and want to continue our loving relationship.

Who knows where we will find ourselves in the future? Contact the woman of your dreams at janinecb99@zoho.com. I know you'll find me alive and well, waiting to find you.

Love, Janine

Do you consider your glass half-full or half-empty? I'm a half-full kind of gal. I continue to look at the positive, even though I struggle. I firmly believe that there is good and bad in everything and everyone. This allows me to find the good that I know is there. I can find the silver lining in any cloud. Life is better when you live as an optimist. People are happier when they're full of optimism. Live life to its fullest.

As a director of Maleficent, how would you start and end the movie? Give a brief summary for the beginning scenes and brief summary for the ending scenes. Be creative.

A vindictive fairy is driven to curse an infant princess only to realize the child may be the onlu one who can restore peace.

The movie would open with Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil, an evil fairy enters the nursury of Princess Aurora and explains some of the details of the curse she is abput to place on the infant. She ecplains she was given a prophecy that the infant would be her undoing and her end. So the scene is set for many, many mishaps happening to the princess throughout her life. What was not counted on was how surviving all of these mishaps makes the princess resiliant and strong. She can handle the most difficult of cercumstances, since that's all she knows.

In the end, Princess Aurora becomes a natural leader, having nothing to do with her royal bloodline. She leads the war to put down the evils of Maleficent's minions and brings peace to all. The people see her as their leader and their savior. She rules justly and supremely in a much more peaceful land. Then comes the fight to win her hand in marriage, which will be a stiff competition.
