Full Moon Pie

I ate a sliice
of pink full moon pie.
It tasted like
cheese, and salt, and seaweed,
with hints of cloves
and rosy non-pareils.
A chewy astral truffle
that curled around my tongue
and lingers there
sweetening
this morning's coffee.
