The Island

A deformed race of people live on the island.
The babies were born into the world with their deformity.
Normal people gave birth to them so what happened.
People cannot stand anything different or unknown.

Deformed babies were born into an uncaring world.
Babies with unfortunate looks are misunderstood,
since no one can appreciate differences,
they are abandoned to fend for themselves.



Note: My inspiration for this poem was the series of horror movies called It's Alive.
