sorry dad, I was a kid
I had empathy for the love starved
before I was underfed
could not find a trough next to yours
now will a gold, engraved plate
to dine on their tender mercies
whenever you need
when suddenly I realized
how my father felt.
But what is this?
Why do I still starve?
