finding a way
I lost myself
somewhere between never
been and should have done,
where dreams gather to fade
and collect dust.
I recognized
some, of course, their cellophane
dull and untouched in the years
since they'd first sprung forth
to entice me to new paths,
and they were so familiar,
so part of me, that I wondered,
as I found my dragon waiting
and we flew into the future,
who dreamed me
into being?
