| prayer prompt Pray for missionaries in other countries. Blog prompt Does it cost to show kindness? Yes and no. Basically, it doesn't cost you anything to be kind to those who are kind in return. There's not much reward in that, either. The cost comes when you are kind to those who need kindness, but don't show it, nor return it. “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great.” “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.” “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. 1 Corinthians 13 1 Peter 3:9 ESV Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. Luke 6:27-31 ESV “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
