Heat that holds Daystar herself
in grasping scalded hands...

her looonng and sunny hippie hug
a gasp, a last hurrah, a heavy press

of melting, ember red, of power
(perhaps the very last press)

this day, this hour, minute, micro
seconds til her coooool relenting.
