Promptly poetry entries

Week 35 - closed doors and windows
Closed, sealed up, do not enter!
Like my heart - walled up.
I don't want to let in anything or anyone
I cannot risk getting hurt again.

No peeking! Do not knock;
I won't let you in -
Protecting myself against any
Who would try to enter.

Who's that? Who's there
Softly knocking on the door?
A still small voice,
full of love and compassion.

He's been there, He understands;
He wants to help -
I'm afraid, but yet yearn to hope -
Come back another day.

"I am at the door, knocking"
Allow me to come in -
Let me help you, heal your hurts
Letting in the sunshine once more.
