Sunset - Week 39
The Sun
wraps herself in purple robes
asserting her authority
even as her power wanes.
She settles down
to slumber in a golden haze
the last embers of the day.

Sunset
a bridge between dusk and dark
under which the worries of the day
flow like a river into the dreams of night.
Now the Moon rises
like a portent
her face pitted and pale.
