childhood Sunday evenings
& the closing theme of
The Wonderful World of Disney,

unlikely sunsets behind a Carcassonne castle,
orchestral, wholesome, sentimental,

was the bleakest, most depressing thing
filling me with dread for the week ahead
& sorrow for the weekend’s passing,

which is not what I think Disney wanted.
