The Pain
The Pain

I remember when there was laughter
and freedom everywhere,
It seems like only yesterday
When I was there,
Time goes by so fast
All the things that I love,
Seem never to last,
First... It's the present,
Now... Its's the past...

What do you do,
When your feelings grow cold,
and all your tears, turn to stone.
What do you do,
When the numbness set in...
How do I get...
my feelings... back... again...

Is there a way,
I can pay of this toll.
Tell me, dear lord...
Can I get back my soul.
Is there a way,
To start over again,
Tell me lord...
Is it possible to win.
Should I Fight Back,
Is there anything to gain...
Tell me.. Lord, and help me,
Get rid of... The pain.

Chorus 1:
There's pain in my heart,
I know there's pain all around.
But the pain deep within,
Is takin me down.
Tell me am I wrong, am I to blame...
Tell... Me.. Lord... and help me...
Get rid of... The Pain.

All I see now is darkness,
The stars shine.. no more.
It's like I'm waiting for an answer,
To come knocking on my door.
Does God know I here... anymore?

Well I'd stand up and I'd fight back,
But I lost the why?
All the dreams that I use to have,
appear to have died.
"Fight like a Man" I heard someone say.
and get down on your knees,
and pray...

So I did and this is what I said:

Chorus 2:
Dear... Lord...
My Heart's a burning fire,
It's praying for Desires...
And a purpose to move on...
Dear... Lord...
Fill my mind with dreams,
Help this blind man see,
Open up my ears,
Dear... Lord...
I know I'm lost today,
But if you'll help me find my way.
Then maybe, just maybe there's a chance for me?
Dear... Lord...

Back to Chorus 1 and then Chorus 2 again.
