Misc. Haiku and Tanka

Subatomic Particles

The mind particle,
behind the pale of matter,
where the boson splits.

Physics is so true,
but so is everything else.
Discounting is null.

Avoid what is known.
The koan holds the answer,
when the boson splits.

...............

Nonsense

You whisper Louise.
I cry and fall to my knees,
but that's not my name.

When the bud opens,
and the bud is on the pear,
two fruits soon appear.

Haikus are great fun,
nonsensical though they be.
Hard to follow the rules,
when there's no room for the thought.
Whoops!  Turned into a Tanka!

..............

Tonight

Whisper the word what?
Or, yes, yell it to the night.
Question the effect.

Now listen closely.
What does the night say to you?
Question your affect.

The night says quiet.
The sound of darkness resounds,
meaning falls to earth.

..........

Polar

"Tundra scrub willows,
creep through the lichenousness,"
low the caribou.

They of the cold place
maintain with fur and feather.
Howling in the cold.

Screeching in the cold.
The blubbered seal screams, haunted.
White lumbers on white.

The bear of the pole
predates us all and lives on.
I pray for the prey.

Ponderous is hope.
May there be some hope for them.
Hope is so heavy.

What should I do now?
I've already drawn the shades.
Is it all over?

.............

More Nonsense?

Lonely in the mist,
lost to man and nature.
The elf tips his cap.

I din't use to care,
'bout how bad things seem to be,
but they gettin' worse.
Not sure I wanna hang 'round.
Maybe I'll go a yonder.

Gwine gain the glory,
iffen they ever give up.
Grind them heels down hard.

Cucumbers in pain,
cry in cucerbit heaven.
Salad of the gods.

Hey folks, lookee there.
The mist is clearing up now.
The elf lost his hat.
