Two weeks from now the moon will move between Earth and sun. The days approach. It's very soon. Eclipse goggles will win the day. Seventy wide miles across the land from coast to coast we'll see The sun dark with haloed band makes day become night to be. Ninety-nine years ago it came. My time had not yet been. Recording tools were not the same. Neglect this time would be sin. Intense the heat, so bright light. The face would soon be burned, but cool the chill at "night," what lessons all then be learned! Swivel-screen my eyes should save along with eyes that goggles use. Will camera live or find grave? Better Pentax fails than eyes abuse. What great time to be alive!
