We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
Now, that winter's finally here, the last of months for this bold year. We'd find a place for the bless-ed tree were not for the cats, and books, and me. Our house needs work to store the things, that fill our lives with the joy each brings. At Christmas we image trees, and cards and plaques and gifts we seize. We'll decorate as floorspace frees to lift each heart, that sings. Methinks a bookshelf would be best. A Christmas gift, that Home be blessed, displaying books, the floor divest to help our decorating quest. Right now we have white lights in the elm to show The Light of the world's at the helm. Some colored lights on lattice and post. How wondrous the night when shining the most! White lights stay up throughout the year, some above a window, some above my chair, that peaceful days my life would know, that Christmas joy always needs show. Though decorations need some space to bring us joy throughout the place, the joy remains through lights and notes. Each peaceful moment each promotes. With a cup to bless my taste, aromas fill my nose with grace, reading, listening for His Face, the peaceful moment's trimmed with lace. Though minimal celebration's full with eyes to see the Lord's own tulle. A Christmas song, a cup of peace, distractions we now full release. by Jay O'Toole on December 3rd, 2019 |
