Not Too Much Today Either

I have only got one review for the short story that I finished last Tuesday. That doesn’t really surprise me. One or two reviews is all that I get anyway. But there were a few comments that helped me to hopefully make it better. I know that it won’t make any difference because I know that I won’t win this contest either. But I still want to make it the best that I can.

The last couple of days I have been working on the re-write of this short story. I’m still not quite finished with that yet. But I should be soon. I know what needs to be done. And I have done some of it. But I still have a little bit more to do with it. That isn’t the reason that I didn’t get too much written on my second short story for this month. That’s because I haven’t work on it today yet.

No, the reason I haven’t been able to get too much written on my latest short story is because of the usual reason why I don’t. My brother and I didn’t have a whole lot that needed to be done today. But there were a few things that we needed to do. Unfortunately, it took us about half of today to do them.

Don’t get me wrong. I did get the first part, section, of my short story written. that only leaves about fifteen hundred words left to finish this short story. True, I would like to think that I will be able to finish it before I go to sleep tonight. But I know I can’t do that. If I can get another section, part, to it done, then I should be able to get the second half of it written tomorrow. At least I hope that I can do that. But I’m not going to count on it until I do, though.
