Unfortunately, I didn’t get any writing done on the fourth episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. only this time it wasn’t because of how busy it got at work yesterday or where I was posted. It was because of what happened to me on my way to work. I had to detour about ten miles to the next major highway because of a road closure.

As a result of that closure, I was almost ten minutes late for work. That isn’t why I didn’t feel like writing anything yesterday at work. It was because I wasn’t told about the closure ahead of time so that I could adjust and get to work on time. I’m not sure about some of the others who work my shift. But I do know of one that takes the same route to work that I do. Only they got to work on time. That tells me that she knew about the closure somehow ahead of time.

After figuring that out, I didn’t feel like doing any writing. I know that I should have forced myself to do it. even a few single paragraphs are better than nothing. But because of the way that I was feeling I didn’t want to take the chance. After all, there was a very good chance that what I wrote yesterday I would be re-writing again today. That’s how mad I was about what happened to me on my way to work yesterday.

I’m not sure what will happen to me today. But I don’t think that it will be what happened yesterday or anything like it. Something new may happen. And I hope that it doesn’t. But after yesterday I’m not going to count on anything until it happens or doesn’t happen. Whatever it is I will get some writing done no matter how bad it is.
