A Lot Harder Than I Thought

True, it was extremely busy at work yesterday. even more extreme than it was on Thursday. I think that it was the busiest I have ever seen in almost the last two and a half years I have been there. And I’m just writing about it being a Friday. It has been the busiest day overall.

That didn’t stop me from continuing to work on my Water Wars scriptwriting project, though. it just slowed me down a lot. Luckily, it didn’t include going outside the guard post too much. I did have to go out a little bit more than usual. But that isn’t what slowed me that much.

It was me that is the reason why I didn’t get more writing done yesterday at work. I underestimated how long it was going to take to finish the single sentences for this project. And the set-up for the first four episodes of this series. It took me a whole lot longer than I thought.

The set-ups were what I was most wrong about. It took me about four times longer to do them than I was hoping that it would. Almost four hours to set them up. That’s how long it took to do them. No wonder I didn’t get too much written on the first half of my movie Story Outline.

I had a whole lot of trouble writing the Teaser Act, Act One, and Act Two of the first half of my movie. But it still wasn’t as bad as the set-ups were. All that slowed me down during the second half of my shift was how busy that it was at work. And that didn’t stop me from writing that much.

What does that mean for this project? It means that it’s going to take me a whole lot longer for me to do my single sentences than I thought. Instead of a few days, it’s going to take me several weeks. That’s if I’m lucky. And I’m not usually very lucky.
