Poems give a place to rest
from the daily work and stress.
Poems give the heart a lift
from the weight, a daily gift.

Poems flow with each heartbeat
It's candytuft and tasteful treat.
A poem is hopefulness enthroned,
easing pain of life bemoaned.

Poems speak of inner stuff,
easing days when life is rough.
Poems help us yet to pause,
reflecting on the greatest cause.
