I Have Been Thinking Again
I Have Been Thinking Again

No, I haven’t been thinking about starting my Water Wars scriptwriting project all over again. Well, that may not be totally right. It’s not the whole project. But it may be the scriptwriting part of it. What am I trying to write here? The reason why I only got four scenes written yesterday at work. Only four on a Saturday. It was because I had a big lack of concentration when it comes to the first part of my movie script for this series.

True, I did get a little bit sidetracked because I watched three movies yesterday while at work. two of them I haven’t seen in a long time. And the third one I have never seen before. That may have slowed me down a little. But most of it was because of my lack of concentration.

So, what have I been thinking about regarding my scripts for this project? It’s the length of each scene. Except for the Establishing Shots. Each scene is supposed to be fifteen lines long aka fifteen seconds. But I have been having a lot of trouble doing that. And I think that I know why. It’s because some of the scenes need to be longer. But not all of them must be fifteen like I originally thought. As long as they average fifteen by the end of each Act, that is all that matters.

How am I going to be doing that? That’s what I have been thinking about. And I think I have figured out a way to do that. For the fives and tens scenes, the lines will be nineteen. The ones, threes, sixes, and eights scenes fifteen will remain the same. And for the twos, fours, sevens, and nines scenes it will be thirteen. Overall, that will average each Act out to fifteen per scene.

The big question now is how am I going to solve this script problem? Will I continue from where I left off yesterday and go back to the others later or will I start this script all over again? I’m not sure how I will proceed. On one hand, I want to continue. And on the other, I think I should start this first part all over again. Especially, since I have only written about thirty scenes so far.

As of this blog entry, I still haven’t decided what to do yet. I want to continue. At least for today. And start over again from the beginning starting next Wednesday if I do decide to do that. Then again, maybe I should start it over again. If I wait until next Wednesday, instead of a thirty scenes re-write, I will have about thirty-five scenes to do.
