When Others

When others live in their own way,
affecting how you'd live,
just hold what God, the Lord did say
to find the Hope He gives.

When others cause your deepest dreams
to leave the pedestal
to make your life much less it seems.
The future's now regrettable,
but not what God redeems.

When others call your faith a sham,
deny the God you serve,
remember He's the Great I Am.
Our praise He fully deserves.

When others leave the proven truths
carved by the fathers' hands,
indulging all the wants of youth,
rejecting what was planned,

find comfort in the lasting words
of One, Who walked below
to live the perfect life we've heard,
and save the day we know,

assured we are that others will
know the pain of each selfish heart,
but what a hope and lasting thrill
when others trust His new start.

When others finally bend the knee
to He, Who changes all,
rejoice we will so wondrous free
as those, who on Him call.
