Kudzu
This kudzu covers all the land.
Be careful where you plant.
It wraps your feet, now where you stand.
You'd move, but No. You can't.

How did it get here? Where's it from?
And how can we be rid
of this invasive vine that's come
as planter's lowest bid?

It seemed like such a fine idea
when first we brought it home,
It'd stretch from here to Idumea,
if we could pull it some.

O, Kudzu, pretty when you're small,
but ugly when you're old.
If we could change you, new name call,
how rich, if you were gold!
