One of Those Second Days Off From Work

I’m not sure what to say about today. Especially, when it comes to my writing. After all, I didn’t get any of it done today on my WDC Short Story so far. And there is a very good chance that I won’t get any more written on it after I get done with this blog entry before I go to sleep tonight.

Of course, I want to do at least one more part of it. And I’m going to try to do it. I want to do two or more parts. But I don’t think that is going to happen tonight. At least not before I go to sleep. I want it to happen. And I need to do it. But after today, I don’t think that it will.

Why didn’t I get any writing done up until I started writing this blog entry? What is the usual reason why I don’t get too much, if any writing is done, on one of my days off from work? That’s right. It’s because of what my brother and I had to get today.

Normally, even when it’s a lot that we need to get done, it usually doesn’t take a whole day to do it. But unfortunately, today wasn’t one of those days. Not only did we get up early today to get done what needed to be done, but it took us all day to do it.

As a result, this was the first chance that I have had to get any writing done today. That doesn’t necessarily mean that I didn’t think about my WDC Short Story for this month. Because I did. I did think about it a lot. Just didn’t get the chance to do anything about it so far.

Yes, I know that there is still plenty of time this month to finish it. And I will do that. But the sooner I get it done the better. Not only for a few reviews I may get from it, but it gives me more time to work on my other short stories for this month.

Still haven’t seen anything about the third Short Story for this month. So, I may only be writing two of them this month. Then again, I may not. The third one often doesn’t get prompted until the middle of the month. If I’m lucky. Sometimes it’s later than that.

Whether it’s one or two more short stories that I want to write this month, the sooner I get finished with the WDC Short Story the better. As far as I know, there isn’t anything that my brother and I need to do today. But I have been wrong about that too.

So, there is a very good chance that I may be able to get at least one more part written on my WDC Short Story before I go to sleep after all. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens. I have thought that before too. And it often didn’t happen either.
