Frozen Hearts
Frozen hearts are sad and dark,
so full of self and covered bark.
Destroyed within, receiving all.
They give to no one's furtive call.

Frozen hearts by coldest ice,
condemn their lives by cut and slice.
Warmth and wholeness made with friends
are lost on those, who hardness tend.

Somehow odd, a snowman warms
the coldest hearts without alarms.
Gentle, tender, loving ways,
with smiles, he always loves and plays.

Fin'lly sisters make amends.
The coldest heart in gladness rends.
Hopeful days inspiring life,
they smooth the past, and cease the strife.

Loving acts and hygge thoughts,
they bless our days in lessons taught.
Smitten hearts once made so cold
revive by love in acts so bold.

Death upon a cross so tough,
His perfect love was quite enough.
Melt the heart of coldest sin
His resurrection life did win.

Warmth of days forever bloom
through One, Who laid in the garden tomb.
Frozen hearts are made His own
to ever reign on each human throne.

Cold of death, and works, that cease
by His dear work brought us increase.
The sleep of death, His Sabbath rest,
on Sunday rose Salvation Blest.
