Once again, I didn’t get any writing done on the second part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. That’s because I had another split shift at work yesterday. But it wasn’t just a split shift, though. Just that, I might want to do some writing when I got over to my regular post. It’s doubtful that I would want to do that. But it is a possibility considering how bad the first four were. That didn’t happen this time.

What made this a different split shift than I have had before? It’s that they are doing construction on my old post. As a result, I was on my feet almost constantly. I think I got to sit down for a few seconds about every ten minutes. If I even got to do that. Most of the time I didn’t even get ten minutes. I was lucky if I got five. That’s how busy it was yesterday at work.

I tried to sit down all the time. Even when I was working. But that didn’t last too long. So, I decided to slow down a little. And take my time doing my work. That didn’t last very long either. I had no choice but to suffer through it. And that wasn’t easy to do. But I did it despite what they were probably hoping would happen.

The only thing that would have made it worse is if it wasn’t a split shift. If I would have had to work my full shift there, I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it. They most likely would have gotten their way finally. I would either have been accused of sleeping while on duty or I would have been dead. And I know what they would prefer it to be.

It’s no wonder I didn’t get any writing done yesterday at work. By the time I got over to my regular post, I was too tired to do much of anything. It took me my whole shift just to get untired. And that didn’t happen completely. After all, I still had work to do there. It just wasn’t as bad as my old post. I still had a lot of work to do. And it did get very busy part of the time. Especially, the last two hours. But it still was only about ten percent as bad as my old post was yesterday.

I just hope that today isn’t going to be as bad as yesterday at work. If not worse than yesterday. It’s very hard to believe that it can get worse. But anything is possible with who I work for and where I work. I will just have to wait until I get to work today to find out how bad it’s going to get for me. However bad it does get I will get through it. I’m stubborn that way. I won’t let a little thing like death get in my way.
