About an Average Wednesday
About an Average Wednesday

Yesterday at work wasn’t what I expected. Nothing really happened to me. True, work was very busy. But it has been like that for the last couple of months. It should die down a little after the summer is over. Not that much, though. At least I don’t think it does. The last time that happened was almost a year ago. And I don’t remember how busy it was after the summer.

This year is a little bit different. It’s not just how busy that it got yesterday at work. It is also the construction that is going on at my post. That last only the first couple of hours into my shift. So, it wasn’t too bad. Even though they were inside my post a lot during that time. That didn’t slow me down that much when it comes to me working on the second part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project.

The construction also didn’t cause me any problems with me watching television shows or movies on my cell phone. I don’t know why I couldn’t do it a week ago Wednesday. But I had no problems watching them the rest of last week and yesterday. So, whatever the problem was last Wednesday, it was fixed. I’m just happy that they did get it fixed.

Yes, I write more when I’m not watching television shows or movies. And that’s true whether I’m at work or at home. At home, I can stop watching them and concentrate on my writing. I do that a lot when it comes to my short stories. And my “The Problems with Death” movie that I haven’t worked on in centuries. But at work, I need to watch them to make my time at work go a lot faster.

There have been a few times when I couldn’t watch any television shows or movies for one reason or another. And that was usually my fault. I either forgot my cell phone or I forgot my charger. Things like that. And during those times I did get a lot of writing done. But I had no choice. It was either that or stretch out my shift to eight hours instead of five or six like it usually is.

So, there is no excuse for me only getting five scenes written yesterday at work. I could blame work. And they did slow me down a little bit. Could also blame the construction that’s going on at my post. Once again, it did affect my writing some. But not that much. The real reason why I didn’t get more writing done was because of me.

No, it wasn’t because of the lack of concentration. It’s the other reason why I don’t. I knew what I wanted to write. Just didn’t know how to write it. Also had a few problems with the number of lines, seconds, for a couple of them. Something I corrected without too much trouble. But it still happened, though. And that did slow me down some too.
