Two Days Off in a Row Isn’t Good

I was wrong again. I’ve been a lot of that lately. Haven’t I? don’t know if it’s my old age, including this lifespan, or if it’s something else. But I have been wrong about a lot of things lately. It’s true, most of them have been about my scriptwriting project. The last couple of days haven’t been about that. It has been about my second Short Story for this month.

What was I wrong about this time? And how bad was it? It was very bad. What I was wrong about was that I should have been able to do at least some writing done on my second Short Story that I have been working on for this month. But I was seriously wrong about that. After all, I haven’t had a chance to work on it today either. That’s two days in a row that I haven’t been able to do it.

So, why didn’t I get to work on this Short Story today? What is the usual reason why I can’t get any writing done on one of my days off from work? That’s right. My brother and I had a lot that needed to be done today. I knew that we had a few things that needed doing. But I didn’t think that it was going to be an all-day happening.

I thought that it was going to be over within the late morning. Maybe a little bit into the afternoon hours. But I didn’t think that it was going to go into the late afternoon or early evening. It did, though. That’s why I haven’t gotten any writing done of this second Short Story. In fact, this is the first chance that I have gotten to get on my laptop today. That is how busy I have been today.

True, it doesn’t look too good that I will be able to get this Short Story done with only a week to go until the end of this month. And there is a very good chance that I won’t be able to do it. But I think that I can. Especially, if I can get a few of the sections done after I get home from work the next week. If I can do that, then I may have a chance to do it.

If I can’t get any written before I go to sleep tonight, or after I get home from work, then I won’t get it written in time. I do plan on getting some more of it written before I go to sleep tonight. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens. After all, I have thought that before. And it hasn’t happened for one reason or another.
