Five Scenes a Day is Good Writing
Five Scenes a Day is Good Writing

According to several sources, I can write a movie or a television script in sixty days. And since my television series scripts are about two hundred scenes long. Give or take a little depending on how many Establishing Shots that I have. But it should be around two hundred. If that’s true, then all I need to do is about three to four scenes a day to accomplish that sixty days.

Five scenes a day is about average for me. True, I do get a little more like I did Wednesday. And on the weekends, I used to get a few more written. If not a lot more than a few. But those extra scenes don’t happen too often. Especially, the last few months. Probably even longer than that. Five scenes per day are what I have been getting the most written. And according to the sixty days, that’s more than enough. Even if it’s a little bit more than two hundred scenes per script.

Of course, I want to write more than five scenes. And every so often I do. After all, the more that I write daily the sooner I will get my scripts written. But five is still good. If I can do that many, then I will be happy. Yesterday at work I was happy. Not because of work, but because of my writing. That’s right. I got five scenes written yesterday at work.

Today, I’m hoping that I can do the same thing. And there is a very good chance that I can write at least five scenes. If I, did it yesterday then I should be able to do it again today. After all, it was kind of busy yesterday at work. and Fridays are usually about as busy as Thursdays are. So, there is no reason why I can’t write five scenes today too.

A lot depends on work and who I work for as to how much writing that I get done today. if it’s like it has been the last couple of days, then I should be able to get five or more scenes written today. but if it turns out to be another split shift or worse, then I may be lucky to get five of them written. Whether I get five, more, or less, I’m going to get as many of them as I can do.
