Substitutions
Adapting recipes via Substitutions:
These are my standard substitutions

Unwanted ingredients: Substitute

Apple: Carrots

Beef Broth: Homemade Beef Stock

Breadcrumbs: Ground mix of Corn Flakes/Rice Cereal/Spelt Bread crusts

Chicken Broth: Homemade Chicken Stock, Homemade Duck Stock

Crackers: Rice Cake Thins

Cream of Whatever Soup: Lactose Free Sour Cream, celery pucks, & stock

Fat: Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Sesame Oil, Butter, Duck Fat

Fruit: Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, under ripe bananas

Garum Masala: Homemade Garam Masala

Honey: Maple syrup

Lemon Pepper: Dried Ground Lemon Rind

Milk: Lactose Free 2% Milk

Onions: Celery or Celery pucks

Sour Cream: Lactose Free Sour Cream

Wheat Bran: Oat Bran or Oat bran & Ground Chia Seeds

White Flour/Pastry Flour: White Spelt Flour

Whole Wheat Flour: Whole Grain Spelt Flour

Yogurt: Lactose Free Greek Yogurt
