I’m Wrong for a
Good Reason This Time

I know what I heard last Friday. And that was that it was going to be a split shift yesterday at work. But it wasn’t. Only I wasn’t told about it until I got to work today. My Site Supervisor said he didn’t tell me that. But I know that he did. And I think that I know why. It was because I did it on Sunday. That was replaced yesterday. But no one bothered to tell me about it.

It kind of worked in my favor, though. Instead of a possible four hours of working on the single sentences for my Story Outlines for my Water Wars scriptwriting project, I got all eight hours of my shift to work on it. And work on it, I did. I got the movie Story Outline done yesterday. That wasn’t easy to do either. Considering how busy it was at work yesterday.

Yesterday was very, very busy at work. I’m kind of surprised that I got the single sentences for the movie written on this project. That’s how busy it was at work yesterday. I don’t know if it’s because it’s that time of year or because it was a weekday or both. But it was one of the busiest Wednesdays that I have seen in a long time. If it wasn’t the busiest one so far this year.

I was on my feet a whole lot yesterday. I’m not surprised about that, though. After all, the change guarantees that. I just have to live with it. The only other choice is to quit. And that isn’t going to happen. No matter what they try, I’m not going to quit. The only way I’m going to do that is if I move back to Topeka, KS. And we don’t plan on doing that until the middle of next year.

If I can do the equivalent of two episodes on a day like yesterday, I can do it today and tomorrow to finish my single sentences for my Story Outlines. I’m not going to count on that until it happens, though. I should be able to get two more done each day. But there is a very good chance that isn’t going to happen. Especially, if it’s even busier today and tomorrow than it was yesterday.

It’s not just work being extremely busy, though. I may have to deal with who I work for too. As far as I know, I’m going to be working at my normal post today and tomorrow. But that may change. I hope that they don’t. Wouldn’t be surprised if it did. Guess I will just have to wait and see. whether something happens or not with who I work for or work, I’m going to get as many of these episodes done as I can today.
